AQ-LDY model electric single girder foundry crane belongs to a light duty overhead crane, specially designed for lifting and transferring molten metal in metallurgy and casting places. It can also be used for handling molten non-metallic materials and hot solid metal. The overhead crane is generally outfitted with AQ-YH type metallurgical electric hoist, and its lifting capacity is not more than 10 tons. This crane is designed according to JB/T 1306-2008 standards.
The type of overhead crane has a wide application, such as steel mill, hydropower, shipbuilding, aerospace and petrochemical. It is mainly operated by means of wireless remote control or cabin control for safety.

Foundry Overhead Crane Structure
The crane is used for lifting and transporting hot liquid ladle, so it is also known as ladle crane. As ladle crane is frequently applied in high temperature and dusty environments, it requires a higher safety performance and working class than a conventional single girder bridge crane. The foundry crane, just like other overhead cranes, is constructed in same way. It mainly consists of bridge, hoist trolley, crane running mechanism and electric control system.
Bridge constitutes the main structure of the crane which is composed of one bridge girder and two end beams. It travels along runway beam back and forth, driving the entire crane to move. The bridge girder also supports hosting and trolley mechanisms.
Hoisting mechanism is used for up and down lifting of heavy loads, usually mounted to the trolley. It consists of motor, brake, gear, drum, wire rope, coupling and hook. Trolley is a unit that is mounted on bridge girder and travels along bridge rails. They work together to move loads in two directions, that is up and down, left and right.
