Structure of Gantry Cranes
Gantry cranes are mainly composed of four parts: metal structure, lifting mechanism, running mechanism and safety protection system.
The metal structure is composed of the main beam, end beam, support legs and lower beams. It comes in two types: box-shaped structure and truss structure. In order to expand the working range of the crane, the main beam can extend beyond the legs to one or both sides to form a cantilever.
Lifting mechanism is an electric hoist. The picking device can be a hook, a grab bucket or an electromagnetic chuck to handle various materials.
Running mechanism includes trolley running mechanism and crane running mechanism. The trolley running mechanism is generally driven by a three-in-one motor integrated into the hoist trolley. The crane running mechanism is generally driven by a three-in-one motor or a two-in-one motor with independent brake.
The safety protection system includes lifting limiter, overload limiter, stroke limiter, bumper, and wind-resistant anti-skid device, etc.
